As a part of my teaching, I allow students to create their own comics pertaining to the unit or topic being covered. This is a very effective assignment that hits all of the five domains of Bloom's Taxonomy.
5 Domains of Bloom's Taxonomy {Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analysis, Evaluating, Creating} I first model an example to show them what is needed and expected on their assignment. Once finished, I collect them and run off booklets to be used the next time in class as a review, extra practice, assessment, etc... Students must answer their own problems on the back of their comic. Students enjoying seeing their artwork being used in class. |
I usually take a grade when the students complete the booklet of comics strips that they created. If I choose to take a grade on the comic created, I use a rubric.Rubric |
